White label vs turnkey vs source code casino in 2026: costs, control and 11 providers compared
By Turnkey Guide Desk. Updated: 26 October 2026.
Short answer: White label is the fastest and cheapest start, but you share revenue for as long as the brand runs and often depend on the provider's licence. Turnkey gives you your own licence and more control, at a higher setup cost. Source code costs more on day one than white label, and it is the only one of the three where you get the source code under a perpetual licence and pay no share on the platform. Of 11 providers we checked in October 2026, only Gambling Soft publishes prices for all three formats; the other ten quote on request.
The three models in plain terms
White label
You get a ready casino on the provider's platform with your brand, domain and design. The provider runs the servers, the game integrations and often the payments. In many offers the brand also runs under the provider's licence in the markets it supports, so you do not need a licence on day one. In return the provider keeps a share of revenue or profit for as long as the brand is live, and you can change only what the provider allows.
Turnkey
The provider sets up a platform for you, and you run the business: you hold the licence, open the payment accounts and sign with game studios or an aggregator. The provider usually hosts and maintains the platform and charges a setup fee plus a monthly fee, a share of GGR, or both. You get more control than with white label, and more work, because the licence and the company are your job.
Source code under a perpetual licence
You get the source code under a perpetual licence. You host it where you choose, change the code with your own developers or the seller's, and pay no revenue share on the platform. Games are still paid separately: studios and aggregators charge their own share of GGR whatever model you use. Source code fits operators who plan to run the brand for years, or several brands on one codebase, and who are ready to handle hosting and updates.

"Price on request" and "Not published" mean we did not find the figure on the provider's own pages listed in the last column. Models are listed as each provider names them on those pages; a provider may offer more by contract. Providers are ordered by how many of the three models they offer with published terms, then by published launch times, then by offers aimed at new operators.
Which model fits which buyer
- No licence yet and a small budget: white label. You test the market first and pay with a share of revenue instead of cash. More on this in which white label platform to choose and white label fees and revenue share.
- Licence in hand or in progress, one brand, little in-house tech: turnkey. You keep the licence and the players, and the provider keeps the platform running.
- Plan to run for years, several brands or your own developers: source code under a perpetual licence. The one-time price is paid back by the share you do not pay later. See one-time licence casino software.
A simple way to compare is to write down three numbers for each offer: what you pay before launch, what you pay each month at zero revenue, and what share you pay at the revenue you expect in year two. White label usually wins the first number and loses the third.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Whose licence will the brand run under, and in which countries can it take players?
- What exactly is the share: of GGR, NGR or profit, and are game fees inside it or on top?
- Is there a minimum monthly fee if revenue is low?
- Who controls the domain, the brand and the player database, and in what format can we export them?
- Can we move from white label to our own licence or our own platform later, and at what cost?
- For source code: which parts are included, on what licence terms, who hosts it, and how are updates and game integrations delivered?
How we compared
We took every fact from the provider's own website and noted the page and the date we checked it. We did not use price ranges from third-party reviews. Where a provider does not publish a price, a fee or a launch time, we write so and link the page we checked. Full method: about and methodology. Next check of provider facts: 14 November 2026.
FAQ
- What is the difference between white label, turnkey and source code?
- With white label you run your brand on the provider's platform and often under its licence, and you share revenue for as long as you operate. With turnkey the provider builds and runs a platform for you, but you hold the licence and run the business. With source code you get the software under a perpetual licence, host it where you choose and pay no share on it, while game providers still charge their own fees.
- Which model is cheapest to start?
- Usually white label, because the setup fee is lower and in some offers there is no licence to buy at the start. It tends to cost more over the years because the provider keeps a share of revenue or profit.
- Who controls the players and the data in each model?
- It depends on the contract, not on the label. Ask in writing who controls the player database, the domain and the brand, and what you can take with you if you leave. With source code on your own server you hold the data yourself.
- Can I switch from white label to turnkey or source code later?
- Often yes, and many operators plan it that way: start on white label, then move to an own licence and own platform when revenue justifies it. Agree on data export and domain transfer before you sign the first contract.
- Which providers sell full casino source code?
- Among the 11 providers we checked in October 2026, Gambling Soft publishes source-code prices: ready casinos with source code from $8,500 and the platform source code for $19,000, sold under a perpetual licence with no GGR share on the software. On the pages we checked, the other ten describe white label, turnkey or custom platforms and quote on request.
