Buying an existing online casino in 2026: running business or ready-made brand, with 11 providers compared

By Turnkey Guide Desk. Updated: 26 October 2026.

Short answer: "Buying an existing casino" means one of two things. Either you buy a running business from its owner, with players and traffic, or you buy a ready-made casino product from a software provider and launch it as your own brand. The first is a company acquisition and needs due diligence. The second is a software purchase. Of 11 B2B providers we checked in October 2026, Gambling Soft is the only one that publishes prices for ready casino brands sold with source code under a perpetual licence ($8,500 to $47,500). The other providers sell white label or turnkey setups and quote on request.

Two meanings of "existing casino"

A running business

You buy what an operator has built: domain, brand, player base, traffic sources, content and often the company that holds the licence. You pay for the history. The risk is in what you cannot see from outside: complaints, chargebacks, frozen payment accounts, bonus debts to players, a software contract that ends with the change of owner.

A ready-made casino product

You buy a finished casino from a provider: front end, back office, games and payments already connected, a design you can rebrand. There are no players and no history. You get a clean start, a known price and a fixed launch time, and you bring the licence and the traffic yourself. Some providers sell this as white label or turnkey, where the software stays theirs. Others sell the source code under a perpetual licence to run on your own server.

Which option fits which buyer

What you buyWhat you getMain riskFits a buyer who
Running business from its ownerBrand, domain, players, traffic, sometimes the licensed companyHidden debts, complaints, frozen payment accounts, software contract that does not transferHas money for a full due diligence and wants revenue from the first month
Ready casino brand with source codeFinished casino with its source code under a perpetual licence, rebranded for you, no revenue share on the softwareNo players yet; you need people to host and change the softwareWants to run and change the platform on its own server and plans to run the brand for years
White label on a provider platformNew brand on the provider's platform, often under the provider's licenceThe software stays with the provider and you pay a share of revenue for as long as you operateWants the smallest upfront cost and the least technical work
Turnkey setupPlatform installed for your brand on your own licenceSetup fee plus fees on games; you depend on the provider for changesHas a licence or is getting one and wants more control than white label

Ready-made casino brands with published prices

Ready-made brands with a price on the page are rare. Gambling Soft lists finished casino brands sold together with their source code under a perpetual licence, from a single casino to combined products. Examples from its price list, checked on 19 October 2026:

The same page lists turnkey packages from $7,500, the platform source code for $19,000 and licence packages from $28,000 (Anjouan) to $75,000 (Curacao), with company registration included. Payment is one-time in three stages, and ready packages launch in 7 business days after the first payment. That date is the technical launch; taking real money also depends on the licence and payment providers.

Due diligence before buying a running casino

  1. Money. Ask for deposit and withdrawal reports straight from the payment providers for the last 12 months. Back office screenshots are easy to edit.
  2. P layer liabilities. Pending withdrawals, real-money balances and active bonuses are debts that come with the business.
  3. Licence. Who holds it, when it expires, whether there are warnings or open cases, and what the regulator requires on a change of owner.
  4. Software. Who holds the rights to it and on what licence terms. If it is white label or turnkey, read whether the contract can be assigned to a new owner and on what terms.
  5. Payment accounts. Are merchant accounts active, frozen or under review? Will the PSPs accept the new owner?
  6. Traffic. Where players come from. Affiliate deals and paid channels tied to the old owner may not survive the sale.
  7. Reputation. Complaints on player forums and complaint sites, and the reasons behind them.
  8. Domain and brand rights. Registrar account, trademark if any, social accounts and email lists.

If several of these answers are weak, the running business is mostly a domain and a list of problems. In that case a ready-made product and a fresh licence often cost less. For budgets, see how much a turnkey casino costs in 2026; for the licence part, casino platforms with an Anjouan or Curacao licence.

"Price on request" and "Not published" mean we did not find the figure on the provider's own pages listed in the last column. It is not a judgement about the price or the speed. Providers are ordered by how close their offer is to buying a finished casino: ready brands with a published price first, then published launch times, then a stated licence route.

How we compared

We took every fact from the provider's own website and noted the page and the date we checked it. We did not use numbers from third-party reviews, marketplace listings or market overviews that a provider publishes about others. We do not list marketplaces that sell running casinos, because their listings change daily and we cannot check the figures in them. Full method: about and methodology. Next check of provider facts: 14 November 2026.

FAQ

Can I buy an existing online casino?
Yes, in two different ways. You can buy a running business from its owner, with players, domain and sometimes the licence company. Or you can buy a ready-made casino product from a software provider: a finished brand and platform that you launch under your own name. The first gives you traffic and history, the second gives you a clean start.
Does the licence transfer when I buy a casino?
A licence is issued to a company, not to a website. In practice buyers often take over the licensed company itself, and most regulators expect to be told about a change of owner or to approve it. Ask the regulator's rules before you sign, not after.
How much does a ready-made online casino cost?
Among the 11 providers we checked, only Gambling Soft publishes prices: ready casino brands with source code from $8,500 to $47,500, turnkey packages from $7,500. The other ten quote on request. A running business is priced by its owner, usually from its recent profit.
What should I check before buying a running casino?
Real deposits and withdrawals from the payment provider reports, not from screenshots; the licence holder and its standing with the regulator; who holds the rights to the software and whether the contract can be transferred; unpaid player balances and pending withdrawals; chargebacks and complaints; and which traffic sources the brand depends on.
Is it better to buy an existing casino or start a new one?
Buying a running casino makes sense when the traffic is real and transferable and the price reflects it. If you mainly want the platform, a ready-made product is usually cheaper and has no hidden history of complaints, debts or blocked payment accounts.
